Omega, founded in 1848 by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, is one of the world’s most renowned watchmakers, celebrated for precision and innovation. The company gained fame in 1894 with its revolutionary 19-ligne “Omega” calibre, which gave the brand its name and reputation for reliability. Omega has a long history with sports models, becoming the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932 and producing professional tool watches such as the Seamaster (diving) and Speedmaster (racing and space). The Speedmaster Professional, famously known as the “Moonwatch,” was the first watch worn on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969. Today, Omega remains a symbol of technical mastery and adventure, balancing Swiss luxury with pioneering achievements in sports, exploration, and space.
