the black tubular steel frame, with loose black hide pad and leather bolster cushion, raised on a black lacquered base, re-sprayed at a later date

original Cassina maker's mark obscured

Notes
The LC4 chaise longue was designed in 1928 and first exhibited in 1929 at the Salon d'Automne in Paris.
The chair was designed as a 'relaxing machine' that follows the body's natural curve and embodies the principles of 'form follows function'.
The chrome frame was resprayed in black at a later date.
