Notes
The LC1 "Basculant" (which means rocking or tilting in French) armchair designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand in 1928 is often referred to as the 'sling chair' and was first introduced at the Salon d'Automne in Paris in 1929. Inspired by campaign chairs, the back is suspended and can pivot slightly to accommodate body movement.
