Hill 2003

This wine marks the first bottled vintage from Glenelly after its 2003 acquisition by Madame May-Elaine de Lencquesaing. She purchased Glenelly with the vision of producing classically styled, Bordeaux-inspired South African wines.

At that time, Luke O’Cuinneagain was closely involved with the winemaking setup and direction at Glenelly, although the estate’s own winery was not yet completed—it was officially established and began full production a few years later.

As an inaugural release, it delivers depth, balance and a style that signaled the estate's high ambitions.
