the rectangular hinged top inlaid with arabesque motifs and stringing, enclosing a green baize playing surface, raised on quadruple turned supports with central finial, on carved sabre legs, 75cm high, 92cm wide, 45cm deep

Notes

Tables specifically designed for playing cards appeared in England in the early 18th century. These tables typically had a rectangular top that folded in half and were supported by legs that would swing out when opened.
