Synergy Cape Blend 2001

This blend represents not only the synergy of three red grape varieties, but also the different slopes, soils and microclimates where they are grown. Merlot, Pinotage and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were sourced from selected vineyards in the Simonsberg, Koelenhof and Bottelary hills areas of the Stellenbosch region to create a wine which combines the best elements of classic European and new world wine styles. This rich, powerful yet elegant red wine will continue to develop in the bottle for up to ten years if cellared.

'Consisting of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Pinotage and 8% Merlot matured in 100% new barrels, the 2001 Synergy Reserve has dominant oak on the nose compared to recent vintages with tertiary aromas and Chinese tea emerging with time.
