In the 2000 harvest, in addition to Quinta da Bacalhôa, it was decided to launch a new red wine from this property – Palácio da Bacalhôa. This wine is the result of a batch of a selection of Quinta da Bacalhôa wines that, after ageing in wood, are evaluated and considered to be of superior quality.

A premium red wine often made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, sometimes with a local variety like Castelão. This wine typically offers a complex aroma of dark fruits, spices, and a hint of vanilla from oak aging.
