Boekenhoutskloof was established in 1776 and since it’s modern era makeover in 1993 it has been under the guidance of maverick spirit, Marc Kent. Unafraid to experiment with the unconventional, Marc is the chief winemaker and driving force behind the dynamic farm, co-founded by the similarly innovative late Tim Rands.

Grapes for the Franschhoek Cabernet Sauvignon are picked from individual vineyards planted adjacent to one another, grown from deep alluvial soils of the valley, and from Boekenhoutskloof own farm vineyards,

'Densely layered, with flavors of red currant preserves, raspberry paste and bitter plum coulis. Stays refined, as fine-grained tannins and subtle cedar and singed vanilla notes are nicely embedded throughout. Reveals a pretty flash of iron at the very end.
