Lourensford Estate was once part of neighbouring Vergelegen, which was established by Willem Adriaan van der Stel in 1709 and was revived by Dr Christo Wiese in 1998. The wine maker Philip Costandius was then a Cape Winemakers Guild member and produced this special wine for the CWG Auction.
