A Victorian silver brandy saucepan, the Barnard Brothers, London, 1867 the rim engraved with scrolling foliage, the bulbous body engraved 'From His Grandmama VICTORIA R 14. April 1868.', and with a scrolling foliate cartouche engraved with the initials 'CV' below a coronet, the detachable cover with ivory finial, applied with an ivory handle, gilt interior, 480g all in, 15cm high

The initials 'CV' refer to Prince Christian Victor of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg ("Christle'), Queen Victoria's grandson, born 14 April, 1867.
