Notes
This work is derived from a collaborative ceramic sculpture made by Beauty Ntshalintshali and painted by Mavis Shabalal at Ardmore in 1992. The original sculpture is a Zulu interpretation of a Staffordshire vase which depicted two men standing on either side of a tree, patting a dog.
