Notes
The present lot was is inspired by a small ceramic candlestick the artist made in 1987, commemorating the birth of the first child of Fée Halsted, the founder of Ardmore. The mythical animals are derived from representations of Gothic beasts and translated as African warthogs, lions and storks.
