A Chinese blue and white jar and cover, Qing Dynasty, late 19th century
ovoid, the body painted with sweetpeas and foliage, the sides applied with open lugs and metal ring handles, the cover similarly decorated and surmounted by a dog of Fo, the shoulder and rim with stylised greek key borders, chips to the dog of Fo, 27cm high
