A Chinese famille-rose dish, Qing Dynasty, late 18th/early 19th century
enamelled with a rocky outcrop issuing flowering prunus and peony blossom with two magpies, yellow-glazed rim raised on a circular footrim, hairline crack and abrasion to the centre of the dish, 20,5cm diameter; and a Japanese blue and white bowl and cover, 19th century, decorated with a pavilion before a waterscape, the cover painted with a pair of butterflies above flowering foliage, underglaze-blue mark, 12cm high
