Notes
Kofod-Larsen was among the most accomplished Danish architect-designers of his generation. His design philosophy, "I seek harmony between construction and appearance", is evident in this rare model, which is low and generously proportioned, designed for genuine comfort rather than visual effect alone.
Selig Manufacturing Company, founded in 1931, was an American company that imported furniture from leading Danish designers and manufacturers, including Ib Kofod-Larsen. They played a major role in popularising Danish Modern furniture in North America.
