Notes
Art Deco emerged after the upheaval of the First World War as an expression of modernity, optimism and luxury, using fine craftsmanship to convey refinement and prosperity.
This piece is a fine example of one of Art Deco's hallmarks, the use of highly figured veneers arranged to create dramatic geometric patterning.
