René Lalique 'Moineaux' opalescent and sepia-stained timepiece for ATO, designed 1924
relief-moulded 'R.LALIQUE' with distinctive double-tailed 'Q'
press-moulded glass
height: 15,5cm; width: 21,5cm; depth: 7,5cm

The Vera Dubin Collection.
Notes
'Moineaux' refers to sparrows around the clock face.
In the years 1924 to 1928, Lalique created clock cases for the clock manufacturer ATO to market through their own channels and for this reason they do not appear in any of his own commercial catalogues.
