Sassicaia, from Tenuta San Guido on the Tuscan coast at Bolgheri, is the original Super Tuscan, created by Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta from Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. So singular that it was granted its own appellation, Bolgheri Sassicaia, it is one of the world's great wines. 2019 was a classic Bolgheri vintage. Bruce Sanderson from Wine Spectator gave it a rating of 98, Monica Larner from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate gave it 97+, Antonio Galloni from Vinous gave it 94+, and Walter Speller gave it 18 out of 20.

Rose petal, dried herbs, blood orange, mint, sweet pipe tobacco and cinnamon give the 2019 striking aromatic presence.
