Critics Ratings
"The 2011 Straw Wine had the least residual sugar (in the low 200 grams per liter according to Andrea Mullineux). It has a more Sauternes-like bouquet here with honey, peach skin, tangerine and melted candle wax. The palate is viscous on the entry, very harmonious and tender, perhaps more refined than the first three vintages with perfectly pitched acidity and a gorgeous, detailed finish that is intoxicating. This is one of the best straw wines ever produced in South Africa." - Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, 97/100 (Nov 2015)
"Super rich but glorious. Dried apricots but in lush mode rather than the very tight, crisp mode of Tokaj. So clean! Long and rich and nervy." - Jancis Robinson, JancisRobinson.com, 17.5/20 (Nov 2012)
