Provenance

The late David Brice was a respected wine connoisseur, collector and co-founder of Brice and Burnett – The Fine Wine Specialists (formerly Wine Cellar). His lifelong passion for wine from all corners of the world wine, and generosity, helped develop a culture of fine wine in South Africa and beyond. Always with value and authenticity in mind, the collection spans a wide range of styles from leading producers and diverse regions. The wines were professionally imported under refrigeration and carefully stored at Brice and Burnett (formerly Wine Cellar) thereafter. Many of the producers are not available in South Africa and provide an excellent buying opportunity.

Newton Johnson Family Vineyards Pinot Noir 2019
"The Pinot Noir Newton Johnson Family Vineyards is completely destemmed and matured for 11 months in 33% new oak. It has a little more intensity on the nose of wild strawberry, raspberry preserve and subtle sous-bois scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grip on the entry. Impressive body and depth here, building in the mouth to a very harmonious, lightly spiced finish. Newton Johnson Family Vineyards Chardonnay 2019
“The 2019 Chardonnay Newton Johnson Family Vineyards, matured with 35% new oak, has a slightly more austere bouquet than the Southend Chardonnay, steely and focused, almost Puligny-like in style. The palate is very well balanced and refined, with a perfect line of acidity. Saline and very animated, leading to a long, spicy finish.
