From the Antinori family's Tignanello estate in Panzano in Chianti, the Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva is a Sangiovese-dominant blend with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, conceived as a more accessible expression of the same iconic terroir as the celebrated Tignanello Super Tuscan. The 2018, from a cool and long-ripening Chianti Classico growing season of good freshness and translucent energy, shows a characteristic mix of Sangiovese vibrancy and Cabernet Sauvignon savoriness. Bruce Sanderson from Wine Spectator gave it a rating of 93, and Antonio Galloni from Vinous gave it a rating of 93.
