Located at the end of a single-track road and accessible only by boat until 1960, Bunnahabhain remains one of the most dramatically situated and least compromised distilleries in Scotland. The XVII is a 17-year-old expression crafted exclusively for the distillery's community, the result of patient cask selection in the distillery's coastal warehouses. Bottled non-chill filtered and without added colour, it represents the house character of unpeated Islay malt at its most considered and mature: dried fruit, sea salt, warm oak and the quiet, unhurried complexity that only time on Islay can produce.
