Cape Vintage Port Limited Release 2000 - 2001

The Limited Release is the estate's selection of only the finest barrels from exceptional vintages. The 2000 and 2001 vintages are crafted from traditional Portuguese cultivars including Touriga Nacional and Tinta Barocca, vinified with open fermentation, fortified with grape spirit at the optimum point of natural sweetness, and given extended oak maturation. At over two decades of age they have developed the secondary complexity characteristic of well-aged Cape Vintage Port: dried fruit, dark chocolate, leather, tobacco and earthy spice.
