Cordoba Crescendo 1998 again shows the Cabernet Franc-led, Bordeaux-style profile that made the label famous. Later tasting notes describe the wine as sweetly cedary, spicy and warm, with blackcurrant and blackberry fruit and a supple but still age-worthy frame.
Provenance
This lot comes from the late Harold Eedes, who served as Managing Director of Wine Magazine for nine years. A highly respected and much-loved figure in the South African wine industry, Harold assembled a thoughtful collection that includes a number of mature Bordeaux wines. The wines have been professionally stored under temperature-controlled conditions at Brice & Burnett since acquisition.
