Notes
Of tall ovoid form with a short-waisted neck and everted rim, decorated with an expressive abstract design in flowing iron-brown, blue and turquoise glazes against a pale celadon ground. Schlapobersky and Potter began working together as studio potters in 1973, specialising in high-temperature, reduction-fired stoneware and porcelain. They later established Bukkenburg Pottery Studio in Swellendam, Western Cape.
