Notes
Tambotie is a prized southern African hardwood valued for its durability and was a preferred timber in Transvaal furniture-making.
This rusbank reflects the distinctly South African vernacular aesthetic of the former Transvaal furniture tradition. Practical form was often enriched with modest decorative carving and detailing.
