‘A reference to its out-of-the-way source, Are We There Yet? is an equal blend of Touriga Nacional and Syrah from the Sijnn property in Malgas. Fermented without stems for the first time because it already had plenty of structure and extraction, this is inky, dense and appealingly wild with masses of violet and fynbos aromas, red and black fruits and the structure to age. 2022-27’ – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2020, 94/100
‘The 2019 Are We There Yet is an equal blend of Touriga Nacional and Syrah aged for 10 months in foudres . It shows a little reduction on the nose, eventually revealing blackberry, briar, crushed strawberry and light minty scents. Again, like Savage’s other 2019, it is very well defined. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. Quite structured toward the finish, which leaves a strong saline presence on the aftertaste. This deserves 3–4 years in bottle. 2024-2038’ – Neal Martin, Vinous, 93/100 (Apr 2021)
