‘"Are we there yet?" is a question familiar to most parents and in this case refers to the isolation of Malgas, where Duncan Savage sources this 50/50 blend of Touriga Nacional and Syrah. ‘The 2018 Are We There Yet is an equal blend of Syrah and Touriga Nacional from the ward of Malgas. Limpid in color, it has a tight but focused nose with broody dark plum fruit mixed with light seaweed scents. The palate is sweet on the entry and slightly chewy on the midpalate. The dense but smooth finish just needs more charm. I appreciate the long, tarry aftertaste but it does not seduce as much as Savage’s other wines. 2022-2036’ – Neal Martin, Vinous, 91/100 (Oct 2019)
