About this Item
Single Terroir Magnum Collection (4 x 1.5 litre Magnums)
GRANITE Syrah 2020 | SCHIST Syrah 2020 | GRANITE Chenin Blanc 2020 | SCHIST Chenin Blanc 2020
This special collection of four rare and highly rated Mullineux magnums offers a unique opportunity to explore the Mullineux cornerstone varieties being Syrah and Chenin Blanc through their defining Swartland soils - GRANITE and SCHIST.
Mullineux GRANITE Syrah 2020 (1.5L)
Elegant, lifted, and perfumed, this Syrah is all about finesse. Grown on the decomposed granite slopes of the Paardeberg, it is linear and focused, with delicate red fruit and a fine mineral thread. Platter’s 5-star and 97/100 pts.
Mullineux SCHIST Syrah 2020 (1.5L)
From the rocky soils of the Kasteelberg, this is the more brooding sibling—structured, spiced, and full of energy. Its dark fruit core and graphite edge are a pure expression of Swartland schist. Platter’s 5-star and 98/100 pts.
Mullineux GRANITE Chenin Blanc 2020 (1.5L)
From dry-farmed bush vines planted in the early 1970s, this Chenin is taut and crystalline. Its quiet power and saline finish speak clearly of granite’s influence—refined, textured, and age-worthy. Platter’s 5-star and 97/100 pts.
Mullineux SCHIST Chenin Blanc 2020 (1.5L)
A deeper, more honeyed expression of Chenin. This wine brings layers of stone fruit, herbs, and savoury spice, grounded by the intensity and warmth of schist soils. 95+/100 pts.
Each wine was made with low intervention, wild fermentation, and gentle ageing—crafted to reflect the soils beneath the vines and the Swartland’s untamed beauty. These large formats are ideal for ageing and sharing, and each bottle is a personal expression of site, soil, and soul.
