Critics Ratings

‘Lustrous mid ruby with orange tinges. Shy but finely perfumed. Still closed but with some concentration underneath. Just a hint of fruitcake adding complexity. Youthful and energetic cherry fruit with finely ground tannins streamlining the fruit. Lots of acidity pushing the fine fruit. Still a little embryonic and more to come. 2026-2044’ - Walter Speller, jancisrobinson.com, 18/20 (May 2024)

‘2013 was much cooler than preceding vintages, and Andrea waited until the beginning of October to harvest. He says it was a good year with plenty of structure, but felt it didn't have the longevity to merit making a Riserva. Indeed, rather than a voluble powerhouse this is an understated beauty. Tight and linear with lifted florals and a hint of orange, it has mouthwatering acidity and superb freshness, and will appeal to those who prize finesse. 2020-2032’ - Michaela Morris, Decanter, 94/100 (Feb 2018)

‘Macerated cherry fruit holds the center of this elegant red, accented by grass, tobacco and earth flavors. Firm yet supple and elegant, this lingers with a touch of thyme. Best from 2021 through 2035.’ - Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator, 94/100 (Jun 2018)
