About this Item
A Chinese Straits gilt-metal wedding necklace, Qing Dynasty, 19th century
composed of rectangular, tricorn and square-shaped medallions united by foliate chains to a foliate filigree headed pendant drop, the whole set with flowerheads, set to a later S-shaped hook, minor dents and oxidisation, signed within a rectangular cartouche, length approximately 440mm
