A Chinese blue and white vase, Qing Dynasty, 18th/19th century
the octagonal-shaped body painted with sprays of flowerheads above a band of stylised ruyi-heads, tassels and scrolls, the shoulders with four shaped panels each enclosing a flowerhead against a diaper ground, the conforming neck with stiff-leaf and ruyi-head borders, the sides applied with loop and moulded foliate handles, raised on a conforming foot painted with four sprays of flowerheads, restorations, 20,6cm high
