About this Item
A Chinese famille-rose powder-blue glaze vase, Qing Dynasty, 18th/19th century the ovoid body moulded with a writhing chilong amongst gilded butterflies, fruit, flowerheads and foliage, the elongated neck with flared rim enamelled to the front with peonies, melons, pomegranate and foliage and to the reverse with a gilded band and scrolls, the low foot with gilt Greek key-lock pattern, sienna-glazed rim, wear to the gilding, minor restoration and chips, 27,5cm high
