the centre decorated with a grasshopper on a rocky outcrop and a butterfly amongst peonies, scrolling foliage and flowerheads, the cavetto outlined with cell-and-diaper decoration, the border with alternating panels of auspicious symbols and sunflowers alternating with jewelled diaper bands, the reverse with loosely painted panels of fungus and dots, raised on a low foot, rim chips, 35,8cm diameter
