A pair of Japanese cloisonné enamel vases, Meiji period, 1868-1912
tapering rectangular with rounded corners, each enamelled with a fierce dragon amongst flames against a midnight-blue ground, the elongated neck with flared rim enamelled with a diaper band, with conforming spreading foot, 18,6cm high
