A Cape stinkwood armchair, early 19th century the shaped top-rail above a pierced split-splat and shaped bottom rail, riempie seat, on tapered square-section legs joined by an H-shaped stretcher, the reverse of the top-rail inscribed 'WICR 30'
Notes
This chair has a very interesting and unusual back-splat and cannot therefore be placed in any of the regular categories of Neo-classical split-splat chairs.
