each with plain curved top-rail, above two conforming mid-rails, caned seat, on square-section tapering legs joined by H-shaped stretchers

Notes
Whereas Neo-Classical seating is identified by its vertical back-splats, Cape Regency chairs are recognizable by their horizontal back rails.
There was an overlap in these two style periods and these chairs are an example of the straight rail Regency type with a Neo-Classical underframe and H-stretcher.
