Notes
The clear glass body provides a transparent canvas for the swirling brown and white patterns, creating a sophisticated and elegant effect. It displays Reade's ability to create visually striking patterns and colour blends. Reade makes his clear glass himself, from "true Cape sand", and each piece starts as a ball of molten glass at the end of an iron pipe. His assistant then blows through the pipe, while he shapes the ball, using hand-held tools.
