About this Item
René Lalique 'Tulipes' illuminated centrepiece, 'No 2005'
Notes
Born in 1860 in France, René Lalique began his career as a jewellery designer but is best known today for his works in glass. His luxurious naturalistic designs helped define the Art Nouveau movement with nature-based flowing lines evident here in this 'Tulipes' centrepiece. The name Lalique continues to be a byword for a graceful and distinctively French brand of sophistication.
This centrepiece was introduced 1925.
