About this Item

JD Pretorius - Warwick Wine Estate

A 12 litre bottle of Warwick Trilogy 2013
Trilogy comes from the oldest, most established vineyards on the Warwick Estate and is the Estate’s flagship Bordeaux-style blend.

Warwick Trilogy is traditionally a blend of 3 Bordeaux varieties, hence its name. This vintage comprises 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Cabernet Franc and 14% Merlot. The 2013 growing season was full of surprises. Slow ripening and phenolic ripeness at low sugars translated into more complexity and riper berry characters with the bonus of lower alcohols.

This wine is like a classic Bordeaux, only friendlier and more approachable. The robust, exuberant flavours are brought to life by the wine’s spell in top notch French oak barrels.

The optimal drinking period is between 10 to 13 years from vintage.

This wine is packed in a wooden box.
