About this Item
A 3 litre bottle of Boekenhoutskloof Syrah 2013
The Boekenhoutskloof Syrah is a combination of SH-21 and SH-1, sourced from the Porseleinberg site in Wellington. The SH-1 clone was planted on the south-easterly facing vineyard in 1993. The combination of its decomposed granite soil and cooling effect from the prevailing easterly wind offers this wine its unmistakable character of freshness, spiciness and structure.
The complexity of this wine comes from the diversity in grape composition from the nine different picks.
Loads of violets, blackcurrant fruit pastilles, white and black pepper with jamon and petrichor adding to the complexity. The purity and depth of fruit, firm velvety tannins and refreshing acidity show the massive ageing potential of this vintage. Textured, composed and seamless in style.
This wine is packed in a wooden box.
