Kaapzicht is a 4th generation family-owned wine estate, located in Stellenbosch. The name Kaapzicht means ‘Cape view’ and is attributed to the beautiful views of Table Mountain and Cape Town which are seen from the farm. The Steytler family has farmed the land since 1946 and today, brothers Danie and George own the 190-hectare estate. Located on the Bottelary hill, the farm experiences a mild climate with cool sea breezes and consists of old, weathered granite soils.
Handcrafted by a family whose lifeblood is wine, the Steytler Range is the culmination of our estate’s best wines in only exceptional vintages. Tradition and 4 generations of Steytler passion forge these wines. Dry red wine blend (Cape Blend).First made in 2000, the 'Steytler Vision' is a Cape Blend. Cabernet Sauvignon exudes power, length and structure while our endemic Pinotage creates a uniquely South African feel. Gentle Merlot fruit binds it all together. The aptly named Steytler Vision is the realization of Danie Snr’s innovation and craftsmanship.
