The wine of Chateau Haut Brion is in a class by itself. There is no other Bordeaux wine like it. The complex aromatics with all the earthy, tar, leather, smoke, truffle, cassis, and spice are unique to Haut Brion. This is an incredibly, refined, elegant, sensuous style of wine, that is never heavy or out of balance. Older vintages might need very little decanting, just enough to remove the sediment.
