About this Item
Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier was founded in 1863 by Frédéric Mugnier’s great-great-grandfather. In 1985, Frederic – a fifth generation Mugnier – took over, and somehow managed to combine the running of the property with his job as an airline pilot. He now focuses his efforts solely on winemaking. The estate is renowned for its Chambolle-Musigny and is the second largest owner in Musigny.

Critics Ratings
‘As it was from the first time I saw this wine, it remains extremely elegant with now largely mature aromas of red and blue fruit that are nuanced with hints of violets, herbal tea and wet stone. The cool, mineral-laden and superbly precise medium weight flavors possess beautiful transparency on the long, balanced and palate staining finish. For my taste this has reached prime drinkability and while it could easily be cellared for another few years, there isn't much upside development potential remaining. In sum, this is a really lovely wine and a classic Fuées.’ - Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, 92/100 (Jul 2015)
