circular, painted with a rondel of 'The Three Friends' enclosed by a diaper border highlighted with pine and zig-zag medallions, enclosed by three palmettes each highlighted with flowers and foliage, enclosed by alternating shaped panels enamelled with gilt bamboo between diaper and foliate panels, the reverse loosely painted with sprays of foliage and flowerheads highlighted with iron-red leaves, pseudo four-character Chinese mark, 33,8cm diameter
