A pair of Japanese Imari vases and covers, Meiji period, 1868-1912
hexagonal, each painted with panels of flowering blossom united by mon, the sides with three gourds decorated with further flowerheads, the shoulders with a lappet border centred by flowerheads, each cover similarly decorated with a spire-shaped finial, chips, 38cm high
