A fine English Mameluke sword the top of the scabbard engraved B Johnston, 68 St. James's Street, London, the gilt brass hilt terminal with an embossed lion with one paw on a shield, the ivory grip with studs, piquet work and a coiled snake, with leather and gilt brass scabbard, the bottom mount shoe with a serpent, gilding worn, lacking one quillion and two grip studs, the blade 75,5cm long
