carved in high relief with a peacock perched on a rocky outcrop surrounded by chrysanthemums, prunus blossoms and falling leaves, on a black ground, enclosed by a pierced foliate-and-grape carved frame interspersed with three rats, 107cm high, 65cm wide; and another, carved in high relief with a pair of pheasants perched on a flowering prunus branch, a Japanese tit in mid-flight above, on a black ground, enclosed by a flowerhead frame with Greek-key blocks to each corner, 101,4cm high, 62,4cm wide
