Lot 78

La Motte
Cabernet Sauvignon, 1987
12 (2 x 6) 750ml
Purchased by a French Huguenot back in 1709 and situated in the beautiful Franschhoek Valley, La Motte was named after a little village in Provence France and has been producing wine since 1752. The farm was then purchased by Dr Anton Rupert in 1970 and is now under the ownership of Hanneli Rupert-Koegelenberg and her husband Hein. Reinvestment has allowed La Motte to become a leading global wine producer. Ex-La Motte’s cellars, the pristine 1987 is a classically mature South African red with leather, spice and sprinklings of red berries. It will drink well for another 5 to 10 years.
