of South African interest, the 11,5cm silvered chapter ring with roman numerals, the centre engraved with floral sprays and inscribed Mappin & Webb, London & Johannesburg, with silvered brass cherub spandrels, the reverse door with lattice panel, anchor escapement with gong striking movement, the back plate stamped Made in England, the hood with fixed brass carrying handle, glazed front, moulded base raised on brass ogee feet, not in working order, 27cm high, 18cm wide
